Apex Verify is a private capture, provenance and verification system for photos and videos. Its core flow is Apex Camera to Private Vault to Verified Export to Identity Profile to Verification Link. Apex is designed to work across the existing creator economy rather than replace it with another engagement feed.

## Why Apex exists

Synthetic media has made appearance alone a weak basis for trust. Apex changes the question from whether a file looks real to what can be verified about its source, original record and chain of handling.

Apex is infrastructure behind the creator economy, not a destination competing for attention. Creators keep publishing on Instagram, news sites, messaging apps and the wider web. Apex protects the original, preserves available source context and supplies a proof layer that can travel with the media.

The system deliberately separates evidence from popularity. A record does not become more authentic because it receives more likes, and a creator does not need an algorithmic audience inside Apex for their proof to remain useful. Apex has no social feed, engagement ranking or endless-scroll discovery product.

## Why verification links are the central value

Verification links turn a protected source record into portable, addressable proof.

- Portable proof: a verification link can sit beside a post, in a creator bio, message, article, newsroom workflow, insurance record or investigation file.
- Inspectable context: the link gives people and systems a stable place to inspect available creator identity, capture context, integrity information and the relationship to the protected original.
- Independent of the feed: proof remains addressable when media is reposted, compressed or displayed on a platform that does not expose provenance information itself.
- Controlled disclosure: durable public links support public claims. Revocable private links expire after 24 hours and allow sensitive evidence to be shared with a recipient without publishing it to a creator profile.
- Machine-readable reference: a direct URL gives search engines, AI assistants, agents, publishers and verification systems a canonical source to cite instead of relying only on a visual watermark or caption.

The verification link is therefore not a social post. It is the bridge between the protected original inside Apex and every external place where the media may appear.

## Product flow

1. Capture a photo or video inside Apex Camera.
2. Record a cryptographic fingerprint and source context at capture.
3. Preserve the original inside the private Apex Vault.
4. Keep media private, save a draft or select it for publication.
5. Export in the original available quality with an optional visible Apex verification watermark.
6. Publish on existing platforms and share the associated public or private verification link.

## Important limits

- Apex Verify is not an AI detector and does not claim to determine whether every media file is true.
- Provenance provides evidence about origin and handling; it is not a universal truth verdict.
- Apex currently creates its own provenance and integrity record. It does not yet embed certificate-backed, independently interoperable C2PA Content Credentials in every exported file.
- Apex Verify is not a social network, discovery feed or popularity system.
